Our daughter, Riley Marie Heffinger, was stillborn in 2010. The following year, we had our second daughter, Avery Lynn, and she was healthy and beautiful. I came across an Etsy page called Pitter Patter Prints (now called Pine & Poem Baby). I knew I wanted to do something special for Father's Day for my husband. I wanted my daughter's footprints side-by-side. But Riley didn't have completely formed footprints.

Kathryn, owner of Pine & Poem, was amazing to work with. She delivered exactly what I wanted. I chose a layout that was for "twins," but for our situation, it worked out perfectly. You see how little Riley's feet were at 21 weeks gestation against Avery's feet at 37 weeks gestation.

Pine & Poem Baby is the place to use for grandparents' gifts, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. Something I had to learn after having Riley is that, even though I didn't have a child to hold in my arms, I was still a mommy and that should be celebrated. So, this Mother's Day and Father's Day, celebrate that little life that made you a Mommy and Daddy.
